Mother’s Day Gift Guides for Every Mom

Mother’s Day is fast-approaching! Here are several gift guides to cater to every mom out there: the expecting mom (yes, they count too), the first-time mom, and the veteran mom. I’m breaking it down explaining why moms would love each of these item because I own most of them and love it all. For the ones I don’t already have… I’ll send my husband this blog post πŸ˜‰ for the mamas reading this – feel free to forward this guide to your partner to make it easier on them and to get what you REALLY want for Mother’s Day!

For the expecting soon-to-be mom:

  • Pregnancy pillow – from hot flashes, body aches, and the constant tossing and turning to find a comfortable sleep position is a struggle at night. I use this pillow every night and it keeps me in the most comfy position all night. Side note: did you know that sleeping on your left side while pregnant is best for your blood flow and oxygen for you and baby?!
  • Compression socks – leg cramps and Charley horses in the middle of the night are horrible! It’s quite common during the third trimester. Compression socks help with that and provides better circulation as well. Here are some other cute and fashionable compression socks I’ve purchased recently: Comrad socks in pink ombre and blue ombre.
  • Maternity pantyhose – one of my best clothing pregnancy purchase ever! I don’t even wear non-maternity panty hose anymore because the waist band is way too tight and uncomfortable. This pantyhose stretches to accommodate to the growing belly and after a big meal when you’re not preggers  πŸ˜›
  • Maternity/Nursing bras – I haven’t worn a regular bra in YEARS. Seriously! These bras are so useful during nursing sessions and so comfortable during pregnancy/postpartum for those engorged tatas!
  • Waist clothing extender – a great clothing hack when you don’t want to buy a lot of new pants/jeans/shorts during pregnancy.
  • Belly butter and oil – to prevent itchiness from the skin stretching on the belly, slather these belly butter and belly oil every day! Super important to hydrate the belly skin – these also smell so good. I’m currently on my second or third bottles now.
  • Hospital bag – a spacious bag for all the things you need for that hospital stay when it’s D-Day.
  • Non-toxic shampoo & conditioner – postpartum hair loss is a real thing unfortunately. Prep your hair beforehand and keep using this afterwards to nourish your hair with all the biotin vitamins to reduce the amount of hair loss.
  • Photo keepsake – a memorable way to display those ultrasound images.

For the brand new first-time mom:

  • Matching mommy & me set – we have this set in pink and I think they’re so adorable. Perfect for pictures!
  • Personalized necklace – a sweet jewelry gift with baby’s name or just “mama” labeled on it.
  • Hair/Scalp massager – it’s that amazing feeling when you get a hair massage at the salon but DIY at home. Also helps shampoo deep in your roots to rid all the oil buildup. I love using this scalp massager!
  • Back & neck massager – all the hunching over while breastfeeding or holding baby can take a toll on the neck and upper back area! This will help relieve those knots there.
  • Down pillow – sleep is already a huge challenge with a new baby… it continues into toddler years btw when they have FOMO during bedtime πŸ˜› but when you can hit the sack, sleeping on a down pillow truly makes you sleep more soundly through the night.
  • Silk pillowcase – on top of the down pillow – 100% pure silk pillowcase will provide an even better night sleep because mamas need that energy to tackle mom life the following morning!
  • Silk PJ set – I clearly love silk πŸ™‚ but this is a nice silky comfy PJ set and great for the upcoming hot weather for better sleep at night.
  • Bath bomb set – this is my absolutely favorite bath bomb set. These are beautifully handmade, so colorful and they smell SO good!
  • Bath tub caddy tray – moms need her own spa day treatment too but no need to travel far for it when you can have all the essential set up in your own home.
  • Essential oil diffuser set – mom life can be stressful at times but certain essential oils can help reduce that anxiety! It also makes your bedroom or house smell fresh and amazing.
  • Immersion blender – one of the greatest kitchen appliance to have when baby is ready to start solids. Makes your life so much easier to blend up food for them this way. And you can use this to make other purees and soup.

For the seasoned mom – this is a bit more on the splurge-worthy side because this mom deserves it all for the hard work especially during this tough pandemic period:

  • Dutch oven – I’m sure quarantine has forced all moms to step up in their cooking game. So what better way to splurge on this beautiful dutch oven with this heart-shaped knob to show your appreciation for all the hard work she’s been cooking up in the kitchen. Moms in the kitchen will definitely love this!
  • Ramekins – these heart-shaped ramekins are so cute. These are perfect for mini pies/desserts or even to store salt and pepper. The cutest kitchen piece to display next to your stovetop.
  • Ember mug – how many times does a mom reheat her coffee in the microwave? PLENTY of times for me! This is perfect to keep that cup of joe warm and survive the morning chaos with kids.
  • Indoor garden – simply click n’ grow a little herb garden in your home! I don’t have a green thumb whatsoever but this is a “smart” garden. I love having fresh grown herbs to cook with so this is perfect and aesthetically pleasing for the kitchen.
  • Coffee grinder and maker – I’m over the little coffee pods and prefer the old school coffee pot but with a grinder built in. The smell from the freshly ground coffee, the taste, and the coffee strength is WAY better than the K-cups or Nespresso pods in my opinion. This coffee grinder maker is also very affordable compared to a fancy Nespresso.
  • Cordless vacuum – I LOVE and use this vacuum everyday for the rugs and quick cleanup from my toddler’s mess. So convenient because it’s cordless and it’s slim to hang up anywhere you want it without taking up much room.
  • Hairdryer – Dyson releases this limited edition in pink for every Mother’s Day. This is not your average hairdryer!
  • Barefoot dreams throw – soft and pretty looking! Any mom will appreciate this throw and its neutral colors will match any couch.
  • Towel warmer – the perfect way to stay warm after a nice warm bath or shower. It’s like the ultimate spa experience but at home! Warm towels truly make a difference.
  • Digital photo frame – I don’t remember the last time I printed out photos but I love having this digital photo frame displayed in my foyer for guests and myself to see every time I walk by. It’s super easy to upload via your phone or your desktop.
