Easter Basket Ideas for Toddlers & Newborns

Is it just me or is this year already going by so fast?! I can’t believe it’s almost Easter already. Sharing some Easter basket stuffer ideas for your toddlers! I bought majority of these items for my toddler and she’s dug into most of these items already and is loving it. Whatever keeps a toddler busy, right? I’m also sharing an Easter basket gift guide for newborns. I have almost all of the items in my house from when my daughter was a newborn and she still plays with some of it into her toddler years.

Toddler basket ideas:
Basket – there are tons of baskets out there but this one is plush and durable. You can re-use this for years to come and it’s so adorable!
Easter grass – faux grass is great for fillers to give the basket some weight and the vibrant colors makes it more appealing to the eye.
Matching egg set w/ holder – toddlers are at a highly developmental stage of learning how to match things. This activity is great to boost their brains and it’ll sure keep them busy for awhile. The egg holder not only organizes all the eggs but makes it look more realistic like a real egg carton.
Matching egg set – same as above but without the holder in case you are looking for a cheaper alternative.
Pipe cleaners – hand your toddler a colander and these pipe cleaners and let them go to town! Toddlers love putting things into small little holes (and they’re also experts on hiding mom’s things too). But this kept my toddler busy for hours on/off throughout the day. She enjoyed putting these pipe cleaners in all the colander holes. Such an inexpensive toddler activity! Then you can help them make animal figures afterwards.
Unicorn rainbow egg – another fun activity for them to watch the egg “grow and hatch”.
Bunny ears – plush bunny ears for photo ops on Easter Day!
Easter peek-a-flap book – the more books, the merrier! This book is a peek-a-flap book which my toddler personally loves. She enjoys reading books that are interactive.
Chocolate bunnies – a little bit of sugar rush if they are allowed to! I personally do not give my toddler small candies like jelly beans or M&M’s because I think they are choking hazards. But these milk chocolate bunnies are bigger and easy to break off for toddlers.

Newborn basket ideas:
Indestructible book – baby-proof books! No tears, wrinkle-free, and water-resistant books!
Teething carrot – the perfect Easter theme teething toy! Small enough for their little hands to grasp and easy to rinse clean afterwards. Put these in the fridge before giving it to your baby – it’ll be a teething reliever for their gums!
Building blocks – these are soft enough for them to grasp, chew, and fall on them. Building blocks are a great sensory development for their brains!
Water play mat – another great sensory toy and also comfortable for tummy time while keeping them super entertained with all the colors on this inflatable mat.
Dancing duck – it dances, it has music, and it just goes around the house – my toddler still plays with this and likes to chase after it.
Heatable bunny – my toddler’s bunny still sleeps with her in bed these days! You can heat this up by simply putting in it the microwave. A nice, cozy and warm bunny to snuggle up with and lavender scent is known to help calm us, so it may help with fussy babies.
Soft rattle – plush material so babies can’t hit themselves in the face and babies love to rattle!
Bath toys – mold-free bath toys! Rubber duckies are no longer a safe bath toy for kids because of the mold build-up. These bobble head toys are floatable in water as well. My toddler still plays with hers during bath time.

Wishing every bunny a hoppy Easter!
